A vegan diet is simply a certain regiment that you follow, a way of eating or omitting foods from your everyday meals.

When you follow a diet, it is because you keep to certain standards of food.

For example : You might follow a special diet to keep your diabetes under control.

The Vegan diet, is not a diet to lose weight per say, it is a way of eating which implies not eating any dairy, eggs,meat or by-products of those foods.

So it is not a diet as we usually know it, but you can most certainly lose weight on a Vegan regiment.
